    What Have We Learned?

It's just crossing now as I watch Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner testify in front of House Financial Services, that Congress wants him to will have to turn over all documents tied to American International Group.   It will be all of the communication between himself, Edward Liddy, the Fed, and all respective staff.

We are already at the "let's investigate" phase of the bonus bonanza debacle, and Congress is already ready to launch a probe.  I am glad they want to go through the documents, and I hope they release them to FBN.  It's our government, and it's public record.

However, I am not convinced that the mess of AIG, and the wind down of AIG is sufficiently being managed, and I hope they do not pull resources away from Treasury, when actually......there aren't any!  I've already blogged about the witch hunt against Geithner.  I worry this latest distraction will stop him from focusing on the job at hand.

If you want to get the pitch fork out and point it at him, fine, but please wait a few weeks, and let him focus on the "execution" of the bad bank plan.  More people are saying this thing has legs than are saying it won't work.  I'm ready to see that happen and I'm sure you are too.

Was just Hyundi CEO was going to look at their cars but the dufus wants to raise gas tax for the self serving SOB !!! This got me to thinking since I can't do anything about voting out some bad people in congress I have decided that for my part 1. I will no longer be going to Vegas and actually disolved my Nevada corpration. When Harry Ried is gone i will come back. 2. Our family no longer buys anything from Ca. including wine and anyone doing busines in San Fran. 3. Mass in out any company i find located in Barny Franks area I refuse to do business or buy as best i can. 4. Most of all I now will be selling my Chevy vehicles at a loss and will not buy anything in Michigan. Carl Levin is a Traitor and if he is going to take money from the kids in the Military I will not support. Since I can not stop my Tax dollars being given to them at least i can make my statement on principle and not buy anyhting from them. Seems America has lost it's backbone !!!!

Geithner is just one piece of the decaying puzzle. What about Frank and Dodd? It is apparent that Obama doesn't have the judgment to chose people to run his offices, much less run our gov't. If Geithner goes down they all have to go down, all the congressmen/women and whoever was involved in this mess. For one guy to take the fall isn't right, it took more than just one to cause this disaster. I believe they should be arrested and charged with crimes. I am so tired of turning on the TV and once again seeing who Obama chose for this seat and that person hasn't paid taxes and is just let through the loop because he/she is wanted in that particular seat. Without so much as a blink. If you or I were to decide not to pay any portion of our taxes we would be under the jail. Fair is fair, it doesn't matter who you are. It's time they face the music. The people are getting fed up with this junk.

That our future is divided and a war between the haves and the havenots... the havenots were taught, mostly by their parents that they should have everything just because. They intend to take it now.

Seeing what all was communicated , "could" be interesting.., but I wonder how much will be " accidentally omitted ". Will we ever see anything like .., " Sen. X told me to be sure to protect this aspect of AIG.., " ? I think not. Mr. Geithner may have some "help" , if / when he "decides" to throw himself on the sword. If ANYTHING comes out that is unsavory or untowards.., Geithner will somehow be responsible. I'm still ticked off over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. MAJOR screwing of the U.S Taxpayer.., while the responsible politicians never get called to account. I'm just amazed that Geithner and the guy heading up AIG for a buck, haven't finally blown up at the congress and simply said, " I quit. I don't need this aggravation in my life ". In congresses' witch hunt for the guilty party.., all they really need are a bunch of mirrors. The more our pompous leaders try to blame Geither.., the more I feel sorry for him. Maybe they can find a way for him to be responsible for the disappearence of Jimmy Hoffa.

Couldn't agree more. A probe later though in my mind would reveal the many missteps of the Democrats in office for the most part and it is all trending toward an eventual shift back toward the right in this country, like always we will be back to electing more republicans back to office in a year and a half at the earliest! It is unfortunate that we have to look at things based on party lines, but Tim Geithner does not appear to be able to lead so far without propping up by Obama. So in my mind it is not a party issue, it is an integrity and talent issue with him. Any person in office can infuse money into the economy and bailout; just by virtue of pouring in this huge amount of money into our already strong economy helps. So it is not genius on his part he just gets to be the one to do it. So let him do his job so the people of this country can start spending and investing again.
