    Best Guess: Thursday Edition

Cheryl Casone, Fox Business:  If you missed the market rally in the Spring of 2009, you missed the rally for a long time.  The markets trade sideways over the next few months, and possibly we'll see a small gain for the major averages in the back half of the fourth quarter.

Tom Sullivan, Fox Radio/Fox Business: Even though new home sales improved last month, the median prices dropped which shows the sales are focused on the lower priced homes. My guess is home sales are stuck for homes above the lowest levels. Prime credit mortgages, not sub-prime, defaulted at a rate double last year. Housing will not improve for another two years, minimum.

Clint Greenleaf, Chairman and CEO, Greenleaf Book Group: most likely is GM stock totally worthless in Q2 - all trades are BS

Tracy Byrnes, Fox Business: Uncle Sam is also feeling the pinch of lower income from this recession....In April…usually a month when tax receipts far outweigh government outlays…Treasury’s books showed red, posting a deficit of about $21 billion.  That compares with a surplus of $159 billion in April 2008. In fact, from Jan. through April 2009,individual tax receipts were running nearly one-quarter lower than a year ago.  Just another reason taxes are going up up up in some shape or form!

Alexis Glick, Fox Business: GM comes out of bankruptcy faster than anyone estimates with all stakeholders now agreeing to concessions and Auto Task Force may become one of the most effective task forces of this Presidency

DVXPrime

Alexis, are you serious? The American taxpayer has pumped billions into the auto indusrty via the bailouts and we have no idea where that money is. Chrysler and GM are shuttering 4,000 dealerships. The American government-run by Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, and Obama-are now running the auto industry...and now you're saying that the Auto Task Force may be one of the most effective tasks forces of this presidency. Would you care to show your evidence?
