    Best Guess: Stuart's Motorcycle Edition

I learn something new every day about Stuart Varney.  He used to own a motorcycle!  Can you see Stuart cruising down the highway on a HOG?  Ha, I'm still laughing about it as I type.  Anyway, Tom and I didn't get to our Best Guess, so here you go....

JOHN RUTLEDGE (We call him Dr. John off camera and I have no idea why or who even started that): The recovery is going to be stronger and faster than people think.

CHERYL: Airline stocks continue to be under pressure despite lower oil prices. Recession weary travelers are staying home. Look for a bankruptcy in the airline sector by the end of the year.

TOM SULLIVAN: The Russians will continue to push for a world reserve currency, rather than the dollar. Whether it is successful or not, it will continue to push the dollar lower because of the question about the dollar's future.

CHRIS COTTER: Best Buy is selling green vehicles in 19 West Coast stores... The Brammo Enertia is an electric motorcycle. Good performance characteristics, but will be the new Segway... It will fail...

STUART VARNEY: Gas Prices are headed South... I am forecasting 50 cents a gallon down by early Fall....

Brian

To John: Whether the "recovery" is sooner, stronger, faster, slower, later or weaker...it will be a false recovery that will just as rapidly degenerate into the real fiscal crisis that is utterly inevitable with $12 trillion in debt coming down the road (not counting the systemic debt that's "off-budget" or the enormous costs that will result from Obama's massive environmental, health and other programs). Ultimately, the last thing people will be wondering is whether you were right or not.
