Best Guess: Will They or Won't They?

It is a silly question, but one that keeps me coming up:  will healthcare reform be passed this year? See what Stuart has to say below, but in my opinion, a massive and very expensive bill is on its way. When you have Nancy Pelosi start to float the idea of a value added tax or national sales tax, you know we are in trouble.  They will tax you on your income and add another tax to items you buy.  I love paying taxes, don't you?

STUART VARNEY: The outlook is very grim for ANY healthcare reform. Cost is the big problem. When the various bills are amalgamated in committee, more liberal, costly perovisions will be added. We can’t afford it, and the votes will not be there.

ADAM SHAPIRO: Congress will create a new federal consumer protection agency but it will have very little real power

MATT VETTO: Gold will be lower than it is today, one year from now.

CHERYL: Nancy Pelosi floated the idea of a national sales tax or VAT. Once healthcare reform is over and signed, this will be the Democrats next big push.

was this not an issue during the presidential campain(sp? I think the health bill will bring in the new year.
