    Best Guess: Election Night Edition

Update to this post......my best guess already proven wrong!  AP is calling Chris Christie the winner in New Jersey.

It is Election Day for a few states and counties, and especially here in New York and New Jersey, it's shaping up to be a good dogfight!  Especially in New Jersey, it is too tough to say at this moment who will win, but we took our Best Guess on a little politics, a bit of monetary policy, and ratings agencies....

    CC

TOM SULLIVAN: Rating companies have knocked a couple of small European currencies lower with better deficit ratios to GDP than ours. Moodys, et. al. will downgrade the US Dollar by this time next year. And that will send a shock through Wash DC.

DUNSTAN PRIAL: Jon Corzine wins re-election in the closely watched New Jersey governor’s race. He wins it for two reasons: he’s got tons of money, and, just as importantly, lots of support from Obama. Democrats may have grown skeptical of many of Obama’s specific policies, but they still like the guy and Corzine is gonna benefit from that.

BRIAN SULLIVAN: Dollar will rise 25% within 6 months

ROB MORGAN: The Federal Reserve will leave interest rates alone but are starting to realize they have to address the withdrawl of stimulus soon.

CHERYL CASONE:  Jon Corzine wins re-election in New Jersey by 3 to 5 points.

Corzine? Wrong!!!! BTW the Fed will leave rates too low too long. Why? They always go too far. Ben should have never inverted the yield curve. But that is water under the bridge. If he knew anything about psychology, he would know that at these levels, a 1/2 to 3/4% rate hike would be a resounding vote FOR the economy. And it wouldn't cost a thing!!!!

In truth, immediately i didn't understand the essence. But after re-reading all at once became clear.
