    Best Guess: All About Christmas

There is so much anticipation, and opposing opinions, on whether or not consumers will spend this holiday season.  Feel free to leave comments here or on my facebook page:  www.facebook.com/cherylcasone.  Are you going to spend? How much are you going to spend?  Will you charge or pay cash?  Inquiring investment minds want to know!

STUART VARNEY: I repeat what I said yesterday about Christmas retail sales….a gain or loss of 1% is irrelevant…..the key is when do we get back to Christmas 2007? Mass store closures after the New Year are coming…..

DUNSTAN PRIAL: The final health care bill will include a public option and it will be the Senate’s version that allows for state’s to opt out. That aspect will be more palatable to conservative Democrats who may oppose the public option but want some sort of bill to pass. In effect, it allows them to punt the decision to state legislatures while still taking credit for “historic reform.”

JIM AWAD: There is alot of anger on main street that wall street is doing so well while main street is not;politicians are going to be falling over themselves between now and the congessional elections to figure out what to do about this!!!!!!!!!!!

CHERYL CASONE: The types of stores that see a decline this year will be those that cater to the housing market. Stores that sell furniture, appliances, and electronics will have the toughest time meeting their YOY numbers for the entire holiday shopping season.

My family and friends have vowed not to buy any presents this year. My mom will never stick to the plan, she likes to have presents for loved ones to open on Christmas! Anyway, the best you can do is spend time with the people you love - make dinner or go to a great restaurant. Most importantly, donate your time to a charity or someone who is hurting. Sometimes, it takes hard times to realize what is important. Never forget to remember loved ones who can't be with us - we miss and love.

Hello Everyone, please remember to only patronize stores that are not opposed, ashamed or afraid to include Christmas in their store. Christmas should not be substituted with the word "Season or holiday ". If the clerks do not greet you "Merry Christmas" please boycott that store. If they don't have any Christmas display the includes the word Christmas on it, then please boycott that store. We should only patronize those who really believe, embrace and celebrate Christmas. Merry Christmas!!!
