    Best Guess: Apple Or Google?

It’s better than the Cardinals playing the Giants (and we all know how THAT turned out).  The new Google phone debuted Tuesday, but rumors are rampant that Apple’s new tablet will steal the thunder.  Why would I bring up the tablet when Google is clearly trying to compete with the iPhone?  Because the tablet combined with the iPhone is the threat Google is not ready or able to conquer.  Imagine complete seamless communication between your music, television (Apple TV), computer, and portable reader.  The more products Apple comes out with, the more catch up Google will have to play.  One way Apple could really hurt the GOOG?  Sign deals with other carriers other than AT and T.  Just thinking…….

    On to best guess people…..

STUART VARNEY: In the near term, say until February, the economic news will be positive. My best guess is that the administration will create an almost euphoric atmosphere…..

DUNSTAN PRIAL: Apple’s Tablet is the next ‘gotta have’ electronic gadget for tech geeks. Jobs is just amazing at creating hype and convincing people that they can’t do without his latest toy. The Apple faithful will line up around the block for this thing at whatever price he sets.

ROB MORGAN: There is an old adage about the stock market that how stocks fare during the first week of the year is a good predictor of how the entire year will go.  Keep an eye on this as the week progesses but with the start we got yesterday my best guess is it could be a pretty good year for stocks.

CHERYL:  The Apple tablet when it debuts will break all previous sales records held by the Kindle from Amazon.
