Prince Robert of Luxembourg: Wine Market is Open

When I worked in San Francisco at KRON-TV as a business anchor and reporter, I became interested in the grape growing and fermentation process that is at the heart of the wine industry.  I would travel there maybe one weekend a month.  (honestly, Napa has great outlet shopping if you are ever in the area).

My old roommate asked me to join a few wine tasting classes (although I hardly have an expert sense of smell or taste) and I suppose through all of this my affinity for winemaking was born.  In July Prince Robert of Luxembourg stopped by Fox Business to discuss his taking the world famous vineyard Haut Brion and Clarence Dillon from unaffordable to affordable for the average wine lover.   I consider myself a member of the latter, and he was a wonderful and gracious guest.

Below is the video.  When we went to Bordeaux we did stop by, and the vineyard was amazing!

Napa Valley is fun,the Sonoma Coastline is beautiful, give me Northern CA over Southern CA any day! Nonaffordable to affordable wine-I find it's personal preference, some expensive aren't that great, the really cheap can be horrible,in the middle is usually my choice! I have a brewmaster in my family,he can smell beer and tell you how old it is,the "born on" date was a good AB idea! A good sense of smell and palate, plus a chemistry degree can lead to a rewarding career in the beverage biz! Cheers!
