Small Business, Big Idea: Rock Lobster

She was a Harvard Law graduate with a culinary degree of study.  She just also happened to do a few "food shows" in the early years, as you will see by her amazing TV performance.  I am not a huge "Lobster Roll" fan because of the mayo/fat content, but these were amazing! Verifone CEO: "We're in touch with the DOJ"

VeriFone CEO Doug Bergeron joined me on Friday and gave me a wide ranging view of where the company is now and where he plans to go with new initiatives and strategies.  The quarter was certainly a success, and the stock has been on a tear.   He also addressed the DOJ's suit to block his deal with Hypercom.  Watch the interview here: ... read more

He says it is "ridiculous" that states sit in charge of regulation when it truly should be a one size fits all mandate by Uncle Sam. Each state has different rules, so it makes it difficult for companies like Allstate, Prudential, and State Farm to comply.  They DO IT, but they charge higher ... read more
